Just like
in my performance, I work for these works purely from inner emotion
and energy. On the one hand, this feeling is reinforced by my collaboration
with the dancer Justine Copette, but on the other hand, it is also determined
by the energy I experience in society and nature. In this way I approach
the work as an intimate dialogue with my own emotions and as a universal
resonance with the energies around me. For me, abstraction is the best
way to express this.
They are all made in a short period of time, so that they can retain
the energy of the moment. Brushes are often replaced by sponges, where
I also paint with my hands. This gestural way of painting is also influenced
by my work with Justine Copette
